HISTORY OF SUNGAI LEMBING
Sungai Lembing is an old village located about 42km in the Northwest of Pahang. According to legend, the name Sungai Lembing was adopted from a traditional hunting weapon,”lembing” (Spear). The story begins with group hunters throwed the ”lembing” (Spear) towards a deer. The”lembing” has been exposed to the body of the deer. In an effort to save itself, the deer jumped into the river along with the ”lembing” that still embedded in its body.
Time passes, and the spear has been found by the ore mining in the river where the deer jumped before Since then , the village have been given the name of Sungai Lembing .
